Edging out Presidential candidate John McCain, U.S. Representative Denny Rehberg and Secretary of State Brad Johnson drew the top two vote counts in Montana’s Republican primary.

Meanwhile, Brad Johnson did what no other Secretary of State has ever managed to do: deliver up-to-the-minute election results all night on election night. Demand was so high that the state’s computer network was unable to handle it, but fortunately Johnson’s staff at the Secretary of State’s office had prepared a backup site outside the state network. Election results were delivered throughout the night with even Brad’s critics citing them as an accurate source.
