If you are in the Missoula area on Thursday for the GOP Convention, please come and join Secretary of State Brad Johnson for a campaign reception.  The event will be at 5:30 p.m. in Room 503 of the Hilton Garden Inn.  Brad is looking forward to spending some time with the committed, motivated volunteers who make the GOP party so great.  The Secretary of State is excited to discuss innovative ideas for real world results with Republicans from all across Montana!

The Montana Chamber of Commerce announced their endorsement today of Brad Johnson in his bid for re-election as Secretary of State.  In their announcement the Chamber stated, “Incumbent Brad Johnson was supported for his work in bringing new technologies to that office and his pro-development record on Land Board decisions. “

They must have been impressed with his decision to move to online annual business reporting, which saved Montana taxpayers over $100,000.  Or maybe it was his implementation of online candidate filing, which helps to keep our elections some of the cleanest and fairest in the country.  He has brought the Secretary of State’s Office into the 21st century, and the Chamber recognized the need to re-elect him for the sake of citizens and businesses all across Montana.

Secretary of State Brad Johnson spoke this morning to civic-minded high school students from across the state at the annual Boys State convention held at Carroll College.  Brad discussed elections and current events with the boys, who are entering their senior year of high school.  Education about the political process is very important to Brad, and Boys State provides a great service to high school seniors by teaching them more about the foundations of government.  The Secretary of State was honored to play a role in their convention.
